THE STORY OF THE BONGO WARRIORS
From the streets of Dar es Salaam to stages across the UK.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN...
The story of The Bongo Warriors began in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where a group of young boys taught themselves acrobatics as a positive way to stay out of trouble.
What started with determination, friendship and hours of practice would eventually take them thousands of miles from home and turn into a professional performance career spanning more than two decades.
FROM TANZANIA...
As their skills developed, the group began performing professionally at hotels, events and tourist destinations across Tanzania, including performing for guests each night at the Serengeti Conservation Park.
Then, in 2002, an opportunity arrived that would completely change their journey.
The Bongo Warriors were offered a permanent residency at Flamingo Land Resort in the UK, performing three shows every day for the visitors of the park.
What began as an opportunity to perform overseas became an incredible 18-year residency, with The Bongo Warriors entertaining generations of families at Flamingo Land until 2020.

... TO EVENTS ACROSS THE UK
After their long-running residency came to an end, The Bongo Warriors began taking their performances to events and venues across the country.
Today the group performs at corporate events, festivals, visitor attractions, community celebrations, weddings and private events throughout the UK.
With a talented team of Tanzanian acrobats, performances can feature 3 - 6 acrobats, allowing the show to adapt from intimate celebrations to large-scale public events.
The Bongo Warriors have since entertained audiences at events and venues including Chester Zoo, Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the World Triathlon Championships and the Olympic & Paralympic Homecoming Event - continuing a performance journey that began on the streets of Dar es Salaam more than two decades ago.
